Why should we care?

IS THE WATER IN INDIA REALLY HARMING MY SKIN AND HAIR?

As per a Niti Aayog study recently, India is placed at 120th amongst 122 countries in the Water Quality Index, with nearly 70 percent of water being contaminated. This water quality in many parts of India can harm your skin and hair due to high levels of minerals, chlorine, and pollutants. Hard water, common in many regions, causes dryness, irritation, and clogged pores on the skin, while leaving a residue on hair that makes it rough and prone to breakage. Contaminants in water strips natural oils, leading to dryness and sensitivity, and industrial pollutants can introduce heavy metals that trigger inflammation and scalp issues. These factors contribute to long-term damage, making water quality a significant concern for skin and hair health.

WHAT EXACTLY IS HAPPENING TO MY SKIN AND HAIR WITH CONTAMINATED WATER?

With our skin being our body's largest organ, when we shower, we absorb water like a sponge. So showering in unclean water has major implications for your beauty routine, including premature aging, dry skin, acne, dandruff, psoriasis, damaged hair, just to name a few. Showering in clean water is the essential step in our daily routine for better skin, hair & wellbeing.

I’VE HEARD ABOUT ‘HARD WATER’ AND ‘SOFT WATER’. WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

The difference between hard water and soft water lies in their mineral content. Hard water contains high levels of dissolved minerals, primarily calcium and magnesium, which can cause limescale buildup, dry skin, and rough hair. It often feels less soapy because the minerals react with soap to form a residue. On the other hand, soft water has low mineral content, making it gentler on skin and hair. It creates a better lather, leaves no residue, and helps maintain natural moisture, keeping skin smooth and hair soft.

Fact - When rainwater falls, it is naturally soft. However, as water makes its way through the ground and into our waterways, it picks up minerals like chalk, lime, calcium and magnesium and becomes hard water.

WHAT SKIN TYPES BENEFIT THE MOST FROM USING RINSE ?

Every skin type can benefit from using Rinse, but Rinse may be especially helpful for individuals experiencing premature aging, dry skin, acne, dandruff, psoriasis, or damaged hair. Showering in clean water is essential for better skin, hair & wellbeing.

Hmm.. How does this work?

HOW DO YOU FILTER OUT THE CHEMICALS?

Chemicals in water such as chlorine, heavy metals, and impurities, can be filtered out using a multi-layer filtration system. When creating our filter, we focused on building the best quality filtration technology in the country and landed on a 20 layer filter after testing various prototypes. By combining physical, chemical, and mechanical filtration, this process ensures that harmful substances are effectively removed, providing clean water for your skin and hair.

WHY RINSE SKIN ONLY HAS ONE SHOWERHEAD DESIGN?

We believe in keeping it simple and effective. Our focus is on providing the best filtration, so we’ve honed in on creating a showerhead that does exactly that—without all the extra frills. While other brands might have multiple designs, we’ve chosen to keep it sleek, efficient, and focused on what really matters: giving you clean, contaminant-free water for healthier skin and hair. Quality over quantity, every time!

DOES IT REDUCE TDS ?

Nope, shower filters in general are not designed to reduce TDS (Total Dissolved Solids). They’re designed to tackle impurities like chlorine and heavy metals, making your shower a healthier experience. When it comes to showering and laundry, TDS levels aren't as big of a deal. What really matters is water hardness—shower filters help with that by preventing problems like hair fall, dry skin, and those pesky limescale spots caused by too much calcium and magnesium in the water. So, you get smoother skin, healthier hair, and cleaner showers all around!

WILL RINSE AFFECT MY SHOWER PRESSURE?

Rinse ShowerHead was designed and built to maximize the pressure coming from your pipes while ensuring effective water filtration and will NOT reduce your existing pressure.

DO I NEED TO CHANGE OR REPLACE THE FILTER?

Yes, you’ll need to replace the filter every 6 months to continue to get clean, chemical-free water that’s gentle on your skin and hair. Over time, it collects all the chlorine, metals, and impurities, reducing its ability to purify the water. Think of it like skincare — you wouldn’t skip out on replacing your fave serum when it’s empty, right?

IS THERE A SUBSCRIPTION FOR THE FILTER?

Yes! Your showerhead comes with a filter that’s good for six months of pure, clean water bliss. Want to keep things hassle-free? Sign up for our filter subscription, and we’ll handle the replacements for you—so your showers stay fresh, contaminant-free, and all about skin and hair care. And the best part? It’s more affordable than buying a ‘one time showerhead’.

HOW DID YOU TEST THAT THIS WORKS?

We’ve put our filter to the test, working with a manufacturer who has 20 years of expertise in creating top-quality RO drinking water purifiers. Needless to say, they know their stuff, and have made sure it meets all the top standards. We’ve also run our own tests to guarantee it kicks out all the bad stuff—chemicals, minerals, impurities—leaving you with fresh, clean water for your skin and hair. Quality? Always on point!

Is it easy to install Rinse Showerhead?

HOW DOES INSTALL WORK?

Install? So easy.

STEP 1 - Take off that old showerhead, you don’t need it anymore.

YOUR SHOWER, FINALLY CONTAMINANT FREE -  Enjoy clean water which we ensure will improve your skin, hair and overall wellness.

SO I’M CONVINCED I NEED THIS, BUT CAN I DO IT BY MYSELF OR DO I NEED TO CALL A PLUMBER?

No plumber necessary! Just follow this simple how-to guide and you’ll be able to install your Rinse ShowerHead in no time. But it could be a possibility that you might not be able to unscrew your old showerhead without a wrench (because of the rust build up) , so use a wrench/plier if available at home, otherwise a plumber might be needed.

WILL THIS FIT ON ANY SHOWER?

Yes! The standard thread size for shower heads in India is ½ inch. As long as you have shower arm plumbing coming from your ceiling or your wall, you’ll be able to install your Rinse ShowerHead.

WHAT’S THE WARRANTY OF THE PRODUCT?

Your Rinse Skin Showerhead comes with a 2-year warranty to ensure your satisfaction.

Warranty Coverage: The warranty covers any manufacturing defects in materials or craftsmanship for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase. The warranty includes a full replacement of the product.

More about Skin, Shower & Water.

IS OUR SKIN REALLY OUR LARGEST ORGAN?

It sure is, which is why making sure it’s absorbing clean, chemical free water is vital to your health and wellbeing.

IS IT TRUE THAT UNFILTERED WATER MAKES SKINCARE PRODUCTS LESS EFFECTIVE?

Yup, it’s true! Unfiltered water can mess with your skincare game. The contaminants and minerals in municipal water can leave a residue on your skin, forming a barrier, which may prevent your favourite products from absorbing properly.

IS THERE AN OPTIMAL TEMPERATURE TO SHOWER IN?

Yes, there is an optimal temperature for showering, the ideal range is between 37°C to 40°C. This temperature is warm enough to relax your muscles, open pores for a deep clean, and improve circulation, without causing dryness or irritation to your skin. Anything hotter can strip away natural oils, leaving your skin dry and sensitive, while colder water might not give you the same relaxing effect. Now we'll let you decide what works best for you.

OK.. SHOWERS. BUT WHAT ABOUT WASHING MY FACE? I DO THAT IN THE SINK.

You bring up an excellent point! While our first launch is designed to transform your shower head, we plan on tackling every faucet, eventually. Sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of this page to be the first to know!

WHERE IS THE BEST, MOST CLEAN WATER IN THE WORLD?

Well, according to Google the most "pristine" water in the world can be found in places such as Crater Lake in Oregon, Lake Baikal in Siberia, Lake Vostok in Antarctica, but we like to think... with the addition of The Rinse Skin Filtered ShowerHead, it might soon be found in your very own bathroom. :)
